What happens when I place the call?
The phone route is deliberately simple. It is not an online booking system and does not create a scheduled visit by itself.
- Describe the property. Give the physical facility address, city, gate or check-in requirements, affected bay, and on-site contact.
- Describe the equipment. Say whether the request concerns a dock leveler, sectional overhead door, rolling-steel door, high-speed door, trailer restraint, dock seal or shelter, rolling fire door, or replacement project. Plain language is enough.
- Report what was observed. Examples include a leveler lip that will not extend, a hydraulic power unit that stopped during a cycle, a door hanging unevenly at the cable drums, a bent bottom bar, blocked or faulting photo eyes, a restraint hook that will not engage, or a torn dock shelter curtain.
- The request is routed. Calls may be shared with a third-party commercial provider for an independent fit decision.
- The provider confirms the next step. The provider identifies its business, checks the address and equipment scope, and discusses availability, timing, charges, and service terms directly with you.
A visit is not scheduled until the provider confirms it. This publisher does not dispatch technicians, maintain a service calendar, set pricing, or approve work.
What information makes the request useful?
The most useful description ties one symptom to one numbered bay. If several positions are affected, list them separately: for example, bay 12 has a mechanical leveler hold-down issue, bay 18 has a sectional-door hinge and panel impact, and bay 24 has an outside restraint light that does not match the expected sequence.
Use model and serial information already in facility records or safely visible from the normal working area. Do not enter a pit, open a controller, approach stored-energy components, or cycle damaged equipment to gather details. Manufacturer maintenance guidance recommends recording and safely storing dock-leveler model and serial information. Pentalift record guidance
What must the provider confirm?
Ask the receiving provider to confirm more than arrival timing. The discussion should identify:
- the provider's legal business name and the equipment brands or systems it accepts;
- whether the facility address is within current coverage;
- whether the first proposed visit is an assessment, repair, test, or replacement survey;
- assessment charges, pricing method, authorization limits, and payment terms;
- likely parts or documentation needs, without assuming parts are available;
- required insurance or vendor-onboarding documents;
- responsibility for permits, inspections, electrical coordination, and shutdown planning; and
- any provider warranty and its written limits.
For claimed Florida credentials, DBPR provides a public license search. DBPR license search The search confirms what appears in the state tool; the provider and applicable building department must confirm whether a credential fits the proposed work.
What does this website not decide?
The publisher cannot diagnose a broken torsion spring, determine whether a damaged curtain requires replacement, select a design pressure, approve a fire-door drop test, or decide whether a building permit applies. It also does not compare bids among multiple providers or promise a match.
Permitting follows the parcel location rather than a mailing-city assumption. If replacement, structural, or electrical work may be involved, ask the provider who will confirm the jurisdiction and scope with the responsible building office. The resources directory and service-area guide explain where those questions begin.
Are calls recorded?
The publisher does not record or transcribe calls. A receiving provider's own recording practices are separate from this website and are the provider's responsibility. Ask the identified provider about its practices before continuing if recording is a concern.
The publisher may use call-routing information to understand that a call occurred and which page generated it, as described in the privacy policy. That is different from recording the conversation.
What if the affected position is unsafe?
Do not wait for the phone route to function as emergency response. Notify the facility's responsible safety personnel, keep people away from the affected position, and follow the facility's established isolation procedures. Immediate threats to life require emergency services.
This page does not provide instructions for releasing a restraint, resetting a fire door, adjusting a spring, opening a hydraulic system, bypassing a photo eye, or returning equipment to use. The responsible personnel and qualified provider determine the safe next step.
Where do I start?
Choose the equipment category in the commercial service guide if it is clear, or call with a plain description if it is not. Phone requests are the fastest path; availability is confirmed on the call.
Calls may be shared with a third-party provider. The provider, not this independent publisher, confirms the visit, scope, price, and terms.
Ready to describe the problem?
Have the address, the bay number, and what the equipment is doing. The provider confirms availability, timing, and pricing with you directly.
